Pier 40 is NOT located next to Pier 39

Upon arriving to Pier 40 walk towards the “Bike Hut” Bike Rental Shop. The red star above is the top of the Boat Ramp to the California Spirit Yacht.

There is No Public Parking at Pier 40

Please make sure to give yourself plenty of time to find parking if you have not arranged group transportation.

Boarding is 15 mins. prior to cruise; if you arrive early please wait at the top of the ramp noted by red star above.

There are many Parking Lots to choose from
The following Lot is Open 24 hours Daily – No Attendant
Lot 26: 1 Bryant Street @Embarcadero
(.3 miles from Pier 40) $20 Daily Max / $35-40 on Game Day/Special Events

From the North Bay:
– Take Hwy 101 Golden Gate Bridge
– Follow signs to Lombard St.
– Follow Lombard to Van Ness, Turn L
– Turn R onto Bay Street to the end
– Turn R on the Embarcadero– Drive 1 ¾ miles
– Turn L at Townsend end @ Pier 40

From the South Bay:
– Take Hwy 280 North
– Follow to the end- King St & Embarcadero
– Continue on King St. to the Embarcadero (pass AT&T Ballpark)
– Turn R on Townsend end @ Pier 40

From the East Bay:
– Take Hwy 80 Bay Bridge
– Take the Fifth St. Exit
– Turn L on Fifth St.
– Turn L on Townsend
– Cross Embarcadero to end @ Pier 40
